After announcing it last April, the Czech government is composing the Committee for Coordination of the Fight Against Corruption, which will be integrated by the Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Justice, Interior, Local Development, Transport, Finances and Defense, and headed by Deputy Prime Minister Karolina Peake (pictured here).
The Committee will be in charge of assessing the government’s efforts against corruption and of proposing measures to improve it and increase transparency in the public administration. Moreover, it will analyze possible corruption risks originating from proposed pieces of legislation. According to Ms. Peake, the committee will also count with teams of experts as advisors.
