the European Commission Releases Progress Reports on Romania and Bulgaria

On February 18, the European Commission issued its 8th progress report under the Cooperation and Verification Mechanism. Romania failed to prove its capacity to tackle high level corruption. Bulgaria has to continue judicial reform.
