Bangladesh has been steadily progressing over the past ten years in human development, transparency, e-participation, judicial independence and freedom of the press. The positive changes in these areas are far from having exhausted their potential and they should continue. However, they are partly offset by the high administrative burden for businesses, traders and citizens, where the evolution for the past decade have been under the regional average.
