2016 APSA Annual Meeting

Alina Mungiu-Pippidi will take part in an Authors meet Critics roundtable at the 2016 APSA Annual Meeting in Philadelphia. On Friday, 2 September at 10 am, Alina will present her latest book, The Quest for Good Governance: How Societies Control Corruption, as well as research by the EU Horizon 2020 DIGIWHIST and EU FP7 ANTICORRP projects. The roundtable will look at the centrality of public resource allocation for the understanding of governance, the need for better measures to trace and understand change and the virtues of policies which do not take principals for granted but rather see change as solving a social dilemma problem. Alina will be joined by Jong-sung You, who will present his latest book Democracy, Inequality and Corruption: Korea, Taiwan and the Philippines Compared. In his book, Jung-sung You explores the ways in which inequality affects corruption in South Korea, Taiwan and the Philippines, drawing on a wealth of rich empirical research.
