On October 7-8, ERCAS participated in the Historical Perspective on Cross-Border Corruption Conference in Barcelona hosted by Institut Barcelona d’Estudis Internacionals (IBEI). Prof. Alina Mungiu-Pippidi, Professor of Comparative Public Policy at LUISS Guido Carli University and ERCAS President, gave an insightful keynote speech on the rise of political capitalism and the struggle to have capitalism based on merit. This session provides a comprehensive analysis of how corruption intersects with economics, politics, and integrity systems: a must-watch for those invested in global governance and anti-corruption strategies.
Over two insightful days, 23 papers were presented and discussed over 6 panels, in order to delve into the historical development, causes, and consequences of cross-border corruption, with thought-provoking discussions and valuable contributions from experts around the world.
