Trinidad and Tobago has not seen significant progress on any IPI component for the past decade and in the Global Corruption Barometer 2019 a majority of people think that corruption has gone worse. Although it enjoys a good freedom of the press compared to the region and a reasonable number of e-citizens, it could do better on reducing corruption resources: e-government, reducing administrative burden and increasing transparency in procurement and public expenditures. However, it has ratified all possible treaties on corruption and expected its Integrity Commission to deliver integrity.
